Mobile Distributions
Tailgates are volunteer-facilitated drive-through food distributions. Everyone is welcome at the tailgates. We do not require an ID or proof of income.
Walk-in Vaccine Clinics: This fall, Kroger Health will be hosting several walk-in vaccine clinics at our tailgates! Please bring all insurance information with you to the clinic. Vaccines include Flu, COVID-19, Pneumonia, RSV, Shingles, Tdap, and more! Let us help protect you and your family.
Vaccine Clinics at Tailgates in Muncie on September 10 and 24, Anderson on September 18 and October 2, Elwood on September 15 and October 6, and New Castle on September 11 and 25.
Tailgate Policies:
Parking should begin no earlier than two hours before the distribution starts. The distribution will last for two hours or until we run out of food, whichever comes sooner.
The safety of clients and the Food Bank’s staff and volunteers is very important to us. No tailgate distributions will take place when wind chill is reported to be below 0 °F, or the heat index is reported to be above 100 °F.
Help keep our volunteers safe by putting your car in park while food is being loaded.
