PrimeTrust Federal Credit Union and Second Harvest Food Bank have announced the return of Soup Crawl. Taking place during ArtsWalk in Downtown Muncie on Thursday, October 6, Soup Crawl celebrates local restaurants by showcasing their soups at stations throughout the event. Since its inception in 2011, Soup Crawl has benefited Second Harvest Food Bank and has made more than 327,000 meals possible for our neighbors in need. This year’s proceeds will support Second Harvest Food Bank’s The Big Idea initiative, which partners with schools, their teachers, and principals to work with students and families to stop the cycle of generational poverty by providing tools to support child development as a foundation for lifelong sustainability.
“Soup Crawl is one of those events that people look forward to every year. We are excited to bring it back. We’ve already heard from some local favorite restaurants brainstorming recipes, and, let’s just say, you won’t want to miss it.”
– Ben Polk of PrimeTrust FCU
Participants are primarily local restaurants, caterers, and local not-for-profit organizations, all serving up their best soups in competition for the People’s Choice award during the evening of the event.
